About Us |
In 2008, the Interlake Stock Dog Club, due to decreased membership in the south of Manitoba, agreed to take responsibility for the Manitoba Stock Dog Association. Later that year we hosted the Western Canadian Stock Dog Championship in Eriksdale, Manitoba. This is a championship competition that moves between the Western Provinces yearly.
The members of the Interlake Stock Dog Club would like to thank the Manitoba Stock Dog Association for their faith in our ability to pull this major event together. A great time was enjoyed by all who attended, not just from Manitoba but our neighboring Western Provinces as well. We had a grand supper with jovial entertainment. The weather cooperated and provided us with a superb weekend for dogs, handlers and spectators.
Our judge for the event travelled all the way from Wales and has since returned to hold a clinic in 2009 for us.
We would like to thank all our volunteers, corporate supporters, participants, and Spectators for making this a memorable event.

2011 National Sheepdog Finals Blog
This link is to a blog profiling the handlers going to the US Border Collie Handler's Association National Finals in September. There are some Canadians being profiled in the most recent posts. The last post was about Amanda Milliken of Kingston, ON. I just read the most recent one about Scott and Jenny Glen (Alberta, woot woot!)
